Shopping Breaks in Manchester

Ladies have long fuelled the retail areas of Manchester as their men fill the benches at the nearby Old Trafford stadium, but spending in the city can be pricey.  Search online to find cheap hotels in Manchester with Travelodge, so he’s got more money for the match and you’ve got more money for the malls.

Manchester Arndale

Shopping in the city centre will keep you close to restaurants, spas and Manchester hotels. Whether you head straight to The Arndale or shop in the surrounding areas, there are shops to suit all styles and budgets.

Manchester Arndale is ‘the UK’s largest inner-city shopping centre’. It is home to some of the biggest high street brands including Warehouse, TOPSHOP, Monsoon and Oasis, as well as LUSH, Hotel Chocolat and other pint-sized treat shops.  Streets of shops surround the Manchester Arndale. A quick shop down Market Street will see you pass Zara and Paperchase, as well as selected designer stores.

Deansgate is just a short stroll away and contains a huge stretch of shops, eateries and Manchester hotels.

Trafford Centre

For the ultimate shopping experience in Manchester spend the day browsing and buying at the Trafford Centre.  So easy to access because it is ;ocated just under four miles from the home of the Red Devils, this is also a handy spot for when the men head to the match.   Be prepared to be blown away by the enormity of the mall; huge Selfridges, John Lewis and Debenhams department stores frame the centre which attracts just short of 40 million visitors per year.

As for food as well, there are  myriad of shops, prepare for a feast in The Orient. This impressive food hall is home to every cuisine imaginable, as well as Starbucks cafes and fast food chains.

Whether you choose to say close to the Manchester hotels and spend in the centre or take a quick trip to Trafford, you are guaranteed to shop ‘til you drop in this city.
